# LEMP stack

> nginx, MariaDB and PHP-FPM, wired together for PHP apps.

nginx with PHP-FPM and MariaDB, configured so .php files run out of the box. The PHP and MariaDB versions are the ones your distribution ships. The database root account uses socket login, so only root on the server can use it.

## Details

- Installs on: Ubuntu and Debian; AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Fedora
- Smallest plan: Budget (1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM)
- Public ports: 80/tcp, 443/tcp
- Project site: https://www.php.net/

## After the server is ready

1. Upload your PHP app to /var/www/html.
2. Create a database and user with `mariadb` as root.
3. Add HTTPS with `certbot --nginx -d example.com`.

## Order it

Pick LEMP stack in the order form, or use `"app": "lemp"` in the API or `rack4 servers create --app lemp`. See [all one-click apps](https://rack4.io/apps) and [plans](https://rack4.io/plans).
