# Node.js LTS

> Node.js from NodeSource's LTS line with npm, plus pm2 to keep your app running.

Node.js from NodeSource's LTS setup (the LTS release that is current when your server is built), npm, and pm2 registered with systemd so your apps start at boot. If NodeSource's setup fails, the distribution's own nodejs and npm are installed instead, which can be an older release: `node --version` tells you which you have.

## Details

- Installs on: Ubuntu and Debian; AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Fedora
- Smallest plan: Budget (1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM)
- Public ports: none (nothing listens publicly)
- Project site: https://nodejs.org/

## After the server is ready

1. Clone your app and run `npm ci`.
2. Start it with `pm2 start npm --name app -- start`.
3. Run `pm2 save` so it comes back after a reboot.

## Order it

Pick Node.js LTS in the order form, or use `"app": "nodejs"` in the API or `rack4 servers create --app nodejs`. See [all one-click apps](https://rack4.io/apps) and [plans](https://rack4.io/plans).
